Who is The Great Escape Charter Company?

A small family, owner / operator local Broome company, one of the original small group luxury adventure cruise operators exploring two of the most remote, pristine wilderness destinations in Australia's far northwest; the Kimberley Coast and the Rowley Shoals.

About the vessel - MV Great Escape

Cruise the Kimberley Coast in style and comfort aboard this custom-built, 26-metre luxury catamaran. With seven executive staterooms, MV Great Escape caters for up to 14 guests (12 guests for fishing cruises). Guests can choose between three Panoramic View Staterooms located on the mid and upper deck or four Horizon View Staterooms located on the lower deck. Each room is fully air-conditioned and features a queen-size bed, generous private ensuite, flat screen television, DVD player and personal fridge.

The fully air-conditioned vessel features a spacious lounge, foredeck spa, (where many guests enjoy a drink at sunset) indoor and outdoor dining areas, cascading front deck, sprawling back deck, coffee machine, satellite communications and a great crew of 6 to look after you onboard.

Activity based wilderness cruises give you the option to do as much or as little as you choose. In addition to exploring the iconic Kimberley waterfalls, gorges and stunning waterholes for swimming; activities include bushwalks to breathtaking vistas, excursions to ancient Aboriginal rock art galleries, mud crabbing, harvesting oysters, showering under tranquil cascades, swimming in white sandy beaches, croc spotting, whale watching, turtles, dolphins, captivating bird life and endless encounters with remarkable landscapes and wildlife.

The chef is a passionate foodie and guests are treated to five star contemporary Australian cuisine using fresh, wholesome produce capturing the wonderful flavours of the Kimberley, including what you catch.

An onboard Bell Jet ranger helicopter offers guests optional scenic flights, an opportunity to view the coastline and waterfalls from a thrilling aerial perspective as well as daily heli fishing and heli picnic adventures. Visiting rare aboriginal art sites inaccessible by foot are all possible additions to your experience. (If you are on a 4, 6 or 7 night Kimberley cruise a helicopter transfer to / from boat is included).
